About Zanah
Hey there, I'm Hozanah Hanon, a sophomore at Mustang High School in Oklahoma, deeply rooted in the world of horses since childhood. Living in Mustang has allowed me to immerse myself in the equestrian community, where I've been actively involved in showing American Quarter Horses (AQHA) since 2019.
Joining the American Quarter Horse Youth Association (AQHYA) in 2020 has been a transformative experience for me. It's where I've not only deepened my passion for horses but also discovered a strong desire to contribute to our equestrian community. Running for Region 8 Director is a natural extension of that passion—I see it as an opportunity to give back and make a positive impact.
I am a proud member of AQHYA, OQHYA, NSBA, IEA and FFA, which have given me exciting opportunity to further developed my skills and knowledge. Participating in these amazing associations has been instrumental in honing my riding skills and fostering strong bonds with my team, teaching me invaluable lessons in teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship.
Balancing my academic pursuits with my love for horses has taught me discipline and time management, skills that will serve me well in the role of Region 8 Director. If elected, I am committed to promoting inclusivity, supporting our youth members, and ensuring our equine industry continues to grow and thrive.
